FAQ: Settings for high-speed scanning using ELAN GMK applications

There is a "Scan Settings" dialog in the ELAN GMK Scanning module that has to be set up properly to support high speed scanning.

  1. Activate the Scan Mode (F10 in ELAN Proofer Suite)

You will make the Scan Panel visible.

2. Select "Scan Settings"

    3. For high quality, use the highest compression practicly possible.

      Page segmentation requires lossless compression. However, JPG compression over 80% delivers reasonable results using ELAN GMK software. Using hardware JPG compression, fast scanning speeds can be supported. For maximum scanning speed, select "Set fast scan mode"
