Impositioning Module
The Elan Impositioning Module is an integration of an Adobe Acrobat impositioning solution and the Proofer module. Acrobat plugins are used to transfer data, create a new, imposed PDF and provide a seamless user experience.
Input formats:
|
The Impositioning Module is capable of accepting PDF files as input. |
 |
PDF: Full vector or raster-based PDF files. |
Impositioning:
 |
The Impose workflow icon will be available as soon as a Proofer job is created. A file can be directly imposed or imposed only after page alignment. The file will be passed to Adobe Acrobat 6.0 for impositioning. |
| Impositioning Menu |
A custom Acrobat menu will be available to perform the actual impositioning. A wide array of choices are available, and settings are automatically saved and can be recalled at will. Once the file is properly imposed in Acrobat, it will be transferred to the ELAN Proofer environment |
| Proofing After Impositioning |
The imposed file can be rasterized again for final proofing. This step can be skipped, if needed. |
Output/Transfer:
|
The created files (Output file and Imposed file) can be now transferred to the Printing and Release Module. |
