When you click on the Align Pages button, Proofer aligns the pages according to your instructions. You may want to be notified if Proofer needs to make a drastic change in order to keep the margins you have specified. Proofer can alert you to these situations using the Processing Parameters tab.
| 1. | Check the Enable box to have the parameter analysed and then indicate your threshold of tolerance for Too much movement. This setting is very useful for scanned images that have slight variations in the margins due to the irregularities of the paper placement. Content will be aligned to the margins, but deviation from the mean value of the detected subimages will be calculated and if it is smaller then the tolerance, it will be aligned to the output margin. Otherwise, "Standard Movement" will be applied, which calculates the difference between the mean value of the subimages and applies it automatically to the margins. The result is an automatic adjustment to chapter headings moving them by the standard movement instead of aligning to the output margins. |
