The settings on the Output tab affect the output PDF file created when you align and then apply the alignment to PDF. There are three types of output settings: output canvas, placement and margins.

Output Canvas

If you choose to use a different canvas size for the output file, uncheck Keep original size. Then Proofer will enable the fields where you can configure the canvas size and orientation.

Placement

Click on Placement to instruct Proofer to use the subimage or the canvas to calculate the area of the document image.

Margins

Here you can instruct Proofer on the margins you would like on the output PDF file.

The first step is to select the way you want your margin values applied. You can choose from Single, Verso-Recto and Advanced. The  diagram below shows the options available to you for each selection.

Once you've selected your margin alignment options, you can indicate the margin values in the appropriate fields: top or bottom; right or left.

Note that for Advanced, you need to click on the Verso and Recto tabs at the bottom of the window to indicate the margin values separately.

Tip: you can have Proofer insert the values from your currently selected page by clicking Current.
