Once you have installed and configured ELAN Imaging and Assembly, you are ready to start processing your images. There are a few basic steps to this process:
| 1. | Creating a Job: this step sets up your directories and creates the files needed for the Input directory. |

| 2. | Assembly: this is where you assemble the files and documents to be included in your job. |

| 3. | Imaging: From here the image editing takes place. You may want to use the various View Tabs to examine your document images. The tabs are "original" "composite" and "edit". |

| 4. | Proofing: this step exports your files to Proofer where you can manage your page setup settings and alignment. Proofer creates a consolidated output PDF file with all your changes that you can further examine both in Proofer and in Acrobat. |

| 5. | Open for Impositioning: This step opens the output PDF in Adobe Acrobat (version 6 or greater). Here you have special Impositioning tools to prepare your PDF file for print. |

| 6. | When the process is complete, the Release command helps you archive the files you need. |
