| Figure 2-1. Select Uninstall Method Dialog Box
| |
| First you must select an uninstallation method. It is recommended that you leave the Automatic option selected. This way the uninstallation wizard will not ask anything from you. Advanced users can also select the Custom option, but in most cases, the automatic method is the right choice. After selecting the uninstallation method, click the Next button.
| |
| If you selected the Automatic option, you only need to click the Finish button and wait while the uninstallation program removes PPP from your computer.
| |
| If you selected the Custom option, you need to select which files you would like to remove from your hard drive. It is recommended to select all files. On the next page, you can select which directories you would like to remove from your computer. On the last page, you can select which Registration Database Keys you would like to remove. Registration Database Keys are keys set up in the System Registry so that Windows can keep track of the installed applications. Finally, click the Finish button and wait some seconds while the uninstallation program removes the selected items from your computer. Remember, you do not need to go through this procedure if you select the Automatic option on the first page of the wizard.
| |
| · | Uninstall will not remove the JOB and LOG files from your computer. They are files generated by PPP. In most cases, they are important files that you might want to keep.
