Setting Report Options
Previous Top Next

When quality control is important, you might want to watch out for every little sign that might be an error. For example, you can tell PPP what to with very small subimages and images where a skew could not be detected. You can send these images to the Exception List, or you can simply treat them as good images.

If the subimage is too small, it is usually a sign of an error. This is not always true, because you might want to allow empty pages, but sometimes you do not. Therefore PPP lets you set the minimum size of the detected subimage. This option can be set on the top right corner of the Cleanup page as shown in Figure 6-25.

If the Subimage is less than check box is turned off, the image processor will not check the size of the subimage. If the check box is checked, PPP will test if the subimage is larger than the specified dimensions. If the subimage is smaller than the minimal size, an exception will be generated.

If you know that your images do not contain an empty page, you can turn this option on. If you have lots of empty pages, you might want to turn it off.

The other option that you can set up here is titled Unable to detect deskew. Check this option if you want to send images where a skew could not be detected to the Exception List. Uncheck this box if you would not like to generate an error if PPP can not detect the skew. This option is only selectable if deskew is turned on.
