Restoring PPP Settings
| Restoring Previously Saved Settings
| If you previously saved PPP's INI files, you can easily restore your custom settings.
| |
| To restore custom settings:
| 2. Copy the backed up INI files to PPP's directory; overwrite the current INI files.
| · | Be very careful, this procedure cannot be undone. After restoring the previous PPP settings, you will lose the current settings.
| · | If you accidentally damage PPP.INI or USER*.INI, just feel free to delete these files. This way you can restore the default settings. PPP will be able to run if there are no INI files.
| · | If the FACTORY*.INI files are lost or damaged, you must reinstall PPP from the CD-ROM. These special INI files are very important; do not modify them.
| If you are using PPP on several machines with the same settings, you may want to configure PPP only once and just copy the custom settings on the other machines. It can easily be done, you only need to save the current settings on your first machine and restore these settings on the other machines. This way you can duplicate the settings of PPP on the first machine.
| |
| This does not mean that it is enough to install PPP only once. You must install and register PPP on all machines. But then the custom settings can easily be duplicated.
