Figure 6-1. PPP's Main Window
| On the top of the main window are five tabs named Job Setup, Page Setup, Margin Setup, Cleanup and Resize. Each tab has a corresponding page that fills up almost the whole window. Click the tab to make one of the pages visible. Each page has a different set of functions:
| |
| · | On the Job Setup page you can browse for files, select the images to be processed and set the batch processor parameters.
| |
| · | The Page Setup page contains the page detection settings and the output page parameters, like output canvas size, orientation, etc.
| |
| · | On the Cleanup page are the image enhancement and cleanup settings, like speckle removing, edge cleanup, deskew.
| |
| · | The Resize page is slightly separated from the other pages. It contains all the options concerning the image resizing, which is an extended processing step and not part of the standard batch processor.
| |
| On the left side of the main window is a toolbar with some small square-shaped buttons. They are shortcuts to the most frequently used menu items. The less frequently used commands can only be found in the menu bar, which is located at the top of the main window.
|
| At the very bottom of the window is the status bar. It displays the result of the last operation, or a detailed hint about the control under the cursor.
