| Precise Page Positioning™ (PPP) is a sophisticated image batch processor program for scanned documents. It is able to automatically detect the contents of a scanned document and align it to a margin specified by the user. Bitonal, grayscale and color images are supported. PPP also performs simple cleanup tasks, like removing small speckles, de-skewing an image, or removing the border. You just set up the options, select images for processing, and the job is done totally automatically by PPP. In this manual, we will call this process page registration or page processing.

| At processing time, every action and settings are saved in "job" files, thus creating reliable performance measurement of operations.

| PPP is not only a fast and powerful batch processor; it is a scanning application and a very precise quality control tool as well. It contains a built-in image viewer, image editor, thumbnail viewer, and provides a direct connection to an external picture editor program called PixEdit.

| After processing the selected images, PPP will generate two lists -- one for the good files, and one for the erroneous files. You can investigate all images in both lists and visually check the result, including the boundaries of the detected page contents and the margins.

| PPP is designed for scanning and processing a large number of documents to archive or re-publish on any digital storage medium, or to reprint. PPP is recommended for small and large printing offices, companies in the print-on-demand market, and for anyone who is scanning a lot of documents.
