Image Viewer
| The Image Viewer page contains all the parameters that affect the look of the image viewer and the thumbnail images. A screen shot of these options is shown in Figure 10-4.

| The Image quality group box affects the quality and contrast of the downscaled bitonal images:
| |
| · | Gray-scaled image display: Check this option to use gray-scaled display in the Thumbnail and View windows. This technology produces very legible display if compared to black & white images. Uncheck this option to use the faster B&W mode. The original image remains unchanged.
| |
| · | Contrast: If the Gray-scaled image display is turned on, you can set the contrast of the gray-scaled images. Sliding the track bar towards Dark produces darker images, while sliding it towards Bright produces brighter images. In most cases, you will want to leave it at 0.
| |
| · | The Gray-scaled image display and Contrast parameters have no effect on gray-scaled or color images. These options work only with bitonal images.
| |
| The Dual viewer display order options determine how the built-in image viewer and editor should display the images in dual mode. You can choose between the following two options:
| |
| · | Verso on the left, recto on the right: Choose this for regular quality control.
|
| · | Recto on the left, verso on the right: Choose this for pagination validation.
|
| The Image Editor group box determines whether or not a prompt appears when an image file is saved. It has two options:
| |
| · | Ask if you would like to save a modified file: Select this option to require a confirmation before a modified image is saved.
|
| · | Automatically Save a modified file without asking: If this option is selected, the modified image will be saved without requiring a confirmation.
