Exception Types
| In the Exception List, the following types of exceptions may be displayed:
| · | Horizontal margin error
| The subimage sticks out of the horizontal margins. This means the following: SubimageWidth > CanvasWidth - LeftMargin - RightMargin
| · | Vertical margin error
| The subimage sticks out of the vertical margins. This means the following: SubimageHeight > CanvasHeight - TopMargin - BottomMargin
| · | Horizontal and vertical margin error
| The subimage sticks out of both the horizontal and the vertical margins. This is like a Horizontal margin error and a Vertical margin error together.
| · | Oversized horizontal margins
| The horizontal margins are invalid, they are wider than the canvas. Even a very thin subimage would stick out of the margins. This means the following: LeftMargin + RightMargin > CanvasWidth
| · | Oversized vertical margins
| The vertical margins are invalid, they are higher than the canvas. Even a very short subimage would stick out of the margins. This means the following: TopMargin + BottomMargin > CanvasHeight
| · | Oversized horizontal and vertical margins
| The horizontal and the vertical margins are both invalid, they are wider and higher than the canvas. Even a very small subimage would stick out of the margins. This is like an Oversized horizontal margin and an Oversized vertical margins error together.
| · | Too small subimage
| The detected subimage is smaller than the lower limit. This only occurs if the Subimage is less than check box is checked on the Cleanup page.
| · | Too wide subimage
| The detected subimage is wider than the upper limit specified in the Maximal subimage size group box on the Page Setup page.
| · | Too tall subimage
| The detected subimage is taller than the upper limit specified in the Maximal subimage size group box on the Page Setup page.
| · | Too wide and tall subimage
| The detected subimage is wider and taller than the upper limit specified in the Maximal subimage size group box on the Page Setup page.
| · | Too large edge cleanup
| The edge cleanup is too large; the edge cleanup dimensions are larger than the input image dimensions.
| · | Error saving output file
| | PPP could not save the output file. You have run out of disk space, or you do not have write access to the drive.
| · | Output file exists
| | PPP could not save the output file, because a file with the same name already exists. This only occurs if the If same filename already exists option is set to Report on the Batch Parameters subpage on the Batch page.
| · | Output image would overwrite original one
| | PPP could not save the output file, because the generated output would overwrite an input image. You should never replace your original input images with the output.
| · | Unable to detect skew
| | The image processor was unable to detect the skew on the image.
| · | Too big skew
| | The detected skew is bigger than the limit specified on the Cleanup page.
| · | Terminated by user
| This occurs if the image is sent back to the image processor to reprocess it, but the processing was terminated by the user.
| · | Not enough memory
| The image processor could not process the image, because there was not enough memory to perform an operation. Close all the other application and reprocess the image.
| · | File not found
| The image processor could not find the input image file. Maybe somebody deleted it, or removed the disk from the drive.
| · | Unknown image type
| The input image file format is invalid. This is a very unlikely error, because PPP checks the image file format when you select the image for processing.
| · | This is a multipage file
| This is a warning message. This means that the input image is a multipage TIFF image and PPP can only process the first page of these images.
