Configuring PPP to Work with PixEdit

| Before using the editing capability of PPP, you have to configure the connection between PixEdit and PPP. First click PPP Options... on the Options menu, then select the Environment tab and find the PixEdit settings group box (Figure 7-7) at the top of the page.

| Check the Auto load with PPP option if you want PixEdit automatically loaded on startup of PPP. PixEdit takes a bit of time loading, and also takes up some memory. If you don't want PixEdit loaded with PPP, uncheck the check box and PixEdit will not be loaded on startup of PPP.

You must set up the location of PixEdit.exe. By default, the location is set to C:\Program Files\Techsoft\PixEdit\PixEdit.exe. If you install PixEdit elsewhere, you need to change the location by editing the path or by clicking the Open Directory icon ( ) and finding PixEdit.exe on your hard disk. If you specify the wrong location, PixEdit won't be loaded automatically. You cannot damage PPP or PixEdit if you specify the wrong location; the worst thing that can happen is that it does not work and you have to go back to the Options dialog box and specify the location again.
