Elan Job Tree Advanced

The Advanced edition of the ELAN Job Tree adds recto-verso filtering support and drag and drop capability.
  1. Outlining. Hierarchical nodes can be created, deleted, promoted and demoted to reflect the document's logical structure. The hierarchy levels can be later interpreted as new documents, or represent bookmarks in a PDF file.
  2. List handling. Lists are index information containing property and action information about the files residing in the Job Tree. Several lists can be attached, deleted created and managed through the List Manager. The lists can be filtered to facilitate QC and easy batch processing.
  3. Renaming. The user can define template masters in a list, where the changes in the numbering scheme will be made. The Rename List must be activated.
  4. Inserting/Replacing. When a user highlights a file, he/she can insert a single or a group of files before or after the highlighted entity. If the files to be inserted are located in a different location, they will be copied or moved to the current directory.
  5. Deleting. One or more files can be deleted from the list. The image file will still reside on the file system, but will be deleted from the job.
  6. Re-arranging. One or more files nodes can be selected and moved up or down using the move icons. By down holding down the control key, the movement will be accelerated. Sub-sequent renumbering might be needed after re-arranging operations.

Advanced Features:

  1. Recto-Verso filtering. The user can activate odd, even or all pages in a document. When batch processing is performed, only the active files from the selection will be processed.
  2. Drag and Drop support. The following drag and drop operations are supported:
    • Operating System level. The user can select a set of files from the Windows Explorer or compatible applications and insert the files into a ELAN Job Tree. The selected files will be moved or copied to the current working directory. The reverse operation (copy or move files for the Job Tree) is also supported.
    • Application level. The same drag and drop operations can be performed between two or more open ELAN applications as the operating system level with the addition of being able to copy/move complete hierarchy branches. The hierarchy structure will be preserved in the receiving application.
  3. Drag and Drop Thumbnails. Adds Thumbnail integration to Operating System Level drag and drop.
