Advanced Page Converter Module
Detects and converts regions of a page image into separate image entities for further image conversion or adjustment. In the detection phase, picture areas (continuous-tone regions) will be automatically highlighted with a rectangular marker, which can be adjusted by the user.
In the adjustment phase, the user can convert the B&W areas to grayscale, and perform image enhancements by previewing and manually adjusting the images. Text and line-art regions are kept in B&W (bitonal) mode to provide crisp printing, while picture areas will be converted to grayscale.
After the conversion, a multi-layer structure will be created for PDF conversion.
