Advanced Page Converter Module

Detects and converts regions of a page image into separate image entities for further image conversion or adjustment. In the detection phase, picture areas (continuous-tone regions) will be automatically highlighted with a rectangular marker, which can be adjusted by the user. In the adjustment phase, the user can convert the B&W areas to grayscale, and perform image enhancements by previewing and manually adjusting the images. Text and line-art regions are kept in B&W (bitonal) mode to provide crisp printing, while picture areas will be converted to grayscale. After the conversion, a multi-layer structure will be created for PDF conversion.

Image Processor Basic

Performs basic image processing with batch undo capabilities, but without the complex error checking, exception handling and rules-based processing found in the Advanced Image Processor. The available image processing features are applied to a selection of files. The files can be selected by highlighting nodes in the Browser, Job Tree or Thumbnail view. The image processing features are initiated by the Editor Plugin.

Image Batch Processor Module

Processes several jobs in batch mode. The batch processor creates a log file for accounting purposes. A visual processing log is also displayed at the end of the processing. Large number of files can be processed in unattended mode.

Bates Stamping Module

A unique consecutive string ("Bates Number" as called in the legal marketplace) can be generated and placed automatically on scanned pages. The Bates number is placed initially on a separate layer to avoid problems with subsequent image processing operations. The Bates numbers will be permanently placed on the output raster images.

Punch Hole Removal Module

This module is an advanced, specialized module to address the removal of scanning marks resulting from punch holes on pages stored in 3-ring and other binders. Whole and partial punch holes are detected and removed automatically. An exception will be generated if circumstances point to problematic detection or removal. For quality control purposes, the detected regions are highlighted.

Legacy image processing, detection and conversion application. PPP is listed here as a module for integration purposes.

Image Processor Pro

Complex image processor with comprehensive QC capabilities through exception handling, template based processing, rule sets actions. Automated processes can be set up to address problematic files automatically. The Job Tree and the List Manager provides easy-to-use filtering capabilities to address problematic files flagged by exceptions.
