ELAN Converter comes in the following product editions:

•ELAN Converter Pro: Professional use, unlimited OCR and barcode recognition. This version is recommended for service bureaus and if you need integration with other system.
•ELAN Converter Light: Same as Pro, but no OCR and barcode recognition. Recommended for service bureaus and if you need integration with other system and don't need OCR.
•ELAN Converter Acrobat Plugin: Integration with Adobe Acrobat, including user-initiated batch OCR and merging..

The following table serves as guideline for comparison of the different editions:

In this manual we will refer to ELAN Converter as the main conversion application, including the OCR-enabled (Pro) and the image-only (Light) editions. The portions of the manual discuss text conversion and extraction techniques, but those are not available in the light version, please disregard if you have purchased the light version.

The ELAN Converter Acrobat Plugin has it's own user manual.
