Once you have added items to the Selection List, you are ready to start the conversion if you accept the default settings.

In Batch Mode, you initiate the batch conversion by clicking on the Convert button on the left side of the screen:

Alternatively, you can choose File | Convert to initiate the conversion. If ELAN Converter™ finds a problem with your settings, it will report it for you. If everything looks valid, the conversion starts right away.

During the conversion a progress indicator is shown on the screen, where you can see the current file name and the percentage of the conversion job done:

You can terminate the conversion in the middle by clicking the Cancel button. After the conversion is completed, the following message pops up:

Here you have a chance to view the conversion log, or close this window and go back to the main program window. Note that you can see the conversion log anytime, you do not necessarily have to do it right after conversion. You will not lose your log files by clicking Close.
