Cleaning Up

When you have completed a job, the images are saved out to PDF, and you are ready to move to the next batch of documents, you will probably want to clear out the job tree of your converted images. ELAN Capture has a Delete function that gives you full control of how your tree nodes are deleted.

To delete everything in your job tree:

1.From the Organize menu, select Delete Indexed Items. The Clear Tree dialog will appear.
2.Choose if you would like to delete only those items in the tree that have been indexed or all items whether or not they have been indexed.
3.Check the Delete associate files box if you want to delete the temporary image files stored in your job folder as well.

Unless you intend to re-use those images, you probably want to clean out your job folder by deleting these files.

4.Click OK, and you will return to an empty tree ready for the next batch of scanned documents.
